Community Marketing Specialist
Location: Remote with some travel to London
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Marketing Specialist to join our team. You’ll have a chance to shape the heart of the tiney experience, helping our childminders thrive and creating a connected, inspired, and supportive community.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Design and execute a proactive community strategy to engage with our childminders via our community hub, community coach whatsapp groups and broadcast communication channels (e.g. newsletter, app notifications etc).
Create a content and events calendar in collaboration with Education, Product and Quality teams and based on interests from the community, and market / seasonal trends.
Set success metrics and targets for content performance, in order to measure and maximise impact on childminder success with tiney. Experiment with formats, schedules and distribution tactics, improve continuously based on metrics and user feedback.
Monitor community health and be the voice of customer feedback to inform company and product strategy.
Build relationships with our Community Coaches and empower them to support their local childminders to thrive at tiney

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building vibrant, thriving communities and has the creativity, empathy, and organisation to bring our childminder community strategy to the next level. Ideally, you’ll have experience in community marketing, communications, or community management roles—but more importantly, you’ll have the right mix of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and a deep understanding of what makes communities meaningful and engaging.
You will bring:
Community building experience in a tech-enabled, high growth environment: Proven ability to design and execute strategies that foster engagement and support in both digital and real-world communities
Outstanding communication skills: A natural storyteller with the ability to write and communicate effectively across multiple channels (from newsletters to app notifications) and formats (short posts, educational content, event invites).
Content planning and production: Experience creating and managing content calendars, collaborating with internal stakeholders and managing freelancers where needed. Superior organisation skills and the ability to juggle deadlines and dependencies.
Data-driven approach: Analytical mindset with experience setting and tracking content and engagement KPIs, using insights to continuously experiment and improve.
User-centric thinking: Deep empathy for community members and a sharp ability to identify and champion their feedback to inform broader company and product strategies.

ℹ️ Logistics
Workstation: we're remote first and we provide you with all the tools you need for your home set up although there will be days each week when you are expected to head in and work from our office in Holborn.
Compensation: Up to £45,000 depending on experience + substantial stock options part of our EMI scheme.

An initial phone screening with a member of our HR team (20 minutes)
A technical task relating to the skills required for the role
A video interview with our COO and another team member (1 hour)
A final video interview with one of our Founders, giving us the opportunity to find out more about your values and learning aspirations. This stage will also provide the shortlisted candidate(s) an opportunity to find out more about tiney, our values and the role (30 minutes).
