My home nursery is in the heart of Braintree, which boasts many local attractions. I have recently moved into a a ground floor flat with a securely fenced communal garden. The garden is a great space for children to run and play in. I am open all year round, however, I am closed for bank holidays. I will also take two weeks of holiday, but I will give plenty of notice before this happens

About our tiney childminder
My naturally caring personality and a passion for Childcare led me to train as a Nursery Nurse. I have completed the Foundation Degree Course in Childcare and Education and also a BA Honors in Early Years. Throughout my training I have gained a wealth of experience of caring for young children and developing an effective nursery education system which I deliver in a fun and creative way. With smaller ratios I look forward to achieving these in my friendly home from home environment.

Homemade Story bags and Nursery Ryhme props
I have a great passion for telling stories to children. Creating story bags, using puppets and props, bringing the story alive for children and prompting speech in a engaging and interactive way. This is a great way for even the quietest chiild to open up and express themselves.
Creating a Home Library
A Home Library where children can take books home to share with their parents or guardian. I believe this will heighten a child's interest in early reading and language skills and is an opportunity to share their interests. Children will grow confidently in this area making transition into reception a lot easier.
Trips to local Parks, soft play areas on a regular basis.
I offer an enriching environment where children can explore the local area with walks to the local parks, having picnics in the summer and extending the indoor classroom, outdoors. Planned visits to Partyman World of Play, a soft play area at Freeport is a good place where children can play and have some physical exercise, encouraging Physical Development.

My Home Nursery is located in the heart of Braintree, Essex. A 15 minute walk from the train station with links to Chelmsford, Stratford links to London. The bus station is also close by, a 10 minute walk away from my home. There a two local parks which I can access either by walking, or a bus drive, which the children would enjoy as an activity. The Discovery Centre is a popular place for young children with events on during the summer.
