Emma’s tiney home nursery

Hi I’m Emma I have seven children, four step children and two grandchildren so I think its safe to say I have a little bit of experience! I have worked for 12 years in childcare including being a room leader in a nursery and being a teaching assistant in a primary school. Here I gained additional qualifications to support me in caring for children. I am happy to offer full days of play whilst working within the EYFS framework. My home has easy transport links and is close to to parks, beaches, libraries and local shops.

About my home

I have set up my Tiney home to give every child the opportunity of great learning through play! From adult lead play to child initiated play we will have it all, living right on top of local facilities we can easily pop out for trips to local parks, libraries and the beach at the bottom of my road! I offer creative and messy activities, such as junk modelling, celebration cards, mark making in foam, slime or cornflour in the tuff tray or for a more relaxed time, let’s enjoy a story together in a quiet space.

Unique highlights

Speech and language link

Speech and language provides treatment, support and care for children who have difficulties with communication, I can support children with this through playing games!

Paediatric first aid

I have a qualification in full paediatric first aid

Qualified Nvq level 3 in supporting and working alongside children in the work place I

I gained my NVQ whilst working voluntarily in a nursery completing the qualification within six months and along the years ive gained many more educational based courses to support a child’s needs.

Qualification in mental health and anxiety in children

During the first lock down I completed a child mental health and anxiety course as I felt that children may suffer when returning back to school after such a long period off I felt I could offer support where it was needed and notice the signs before it gets too bad!
