Rosebud tiney home nursery

Hello, my name is Emma and I have just opened a Tiney home nursery, based in the heart of Wallington.

I have being working with children for nine years now and hold a level three in childcare and development.

I have two beautiful children of my own, so my home is pretty much always set out as a little nursery setting, with plenty of toys and resources to explore.

About my home

I’ve set up my tiney home to be a home away from home environment. I would like the visiting families to feel calm and welcomed when they visit my setting.

Play is very important when it comes to a child’s learning, so it is very important to me that I get to know the child and what they’re interested in.
I plan to follow a range of topics to keep the children in my care engaged and willing to learn, for example my son is very interested in weather, for that painting is a lovely activity

Unique highlights

I plan to introduce using the language Italian as part of my planning! Using simple words and phrases

One on one attention!

The children in my care will get plenty of attention, slowly developing a lovely bond with them and their family.

Open space

I have plenty of toys/resources in my home nursery for the children to explore.

Settling in

Settling in children is a highlight of me, working in nursery settings I have come across nervous parents and having to leave their child with someone they don’t know was very hard for them but then to see how happy their child was in my presence was a highlight for me.

tiney book club

Sharing books is at the heart of all tiney home nurseries – it’s fantastic for children’s imaginations, for building vocabulary, for speaking and listening, for personal, social and emotional development, and so much more. Through our partnerships with Walker Books and the National Literacy Trust, our childminders run creative activities around a wonderfully diverse range of books.
