About our tiney childminder

Hello! I’m Isabelle. I trained as an Early Years teacher seven years ago and have worked as a teacher ever since.

Last June, I had my baby daughter and have since decided to create my own home nursery so that I can continue to follow my passion for Early Years education.

My home nursery is a place of nurture and love, where everyone is welcome. Here, children are encouraged to follow their interests to play, learn and flourish.

Unique highlights

Qualified teacher

I have BA Hons in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics from King’s College London and a PGCE from the Institute of Education at UCL.

A thorough understanding of the Early Years curriculum

Having worked as a Reception and Year 1 teacher for seven years, I have a thorough and in-depth knowledge of the Early Years and Primary curriculums. I believe in following a child’s interests and guiding them to reach their full potential.

A nurturing approach

I believe that when a child feels nurtured and loved, they will be confident and feel secure enough to learn.

I live between two beautiful parks - Burgess Park and Southwark Park. Both have wonderful playgrounds for the children to enjoy.

The children and I also regularly visit the local libraries, stay and play sessions and soft plays. We love exploring the area and discovering new places to visit.

What others are saying about this home...

Rebecca

We are so thankful to Isabelle for the amazing loving care she took of our little boy, Arthur, when he was only six months old. She is the only non family member we could have considered leaving him with. The pictures and videos she sent me of his happy smiling face playing with her daughter said it all! Her kindness, patience and thoughtfulness make her perfectly suited to help young children thrive. Isabelle’s passion for early years development and providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment shines. Her experience as a Reception teacher gives her the professional background to structure a day of learning through play and her role as mum allows her to understand the emotional needs of both children and parents. I would highly recommend Isabelle for a warm, home-from-home, nurturing environment where children can grow and learn surrounded by love ❤️

Isabelle will make a fantastic childminder. Not only is she highly qualified and experienced in child development, she brings to the role exceptional warmth and care. She is fun-loving, attentive and well organised. I met Isabelle while we were both pregnant with our first children and her friendship was a pillar of strength during an extremely challenging first year. If only we lived closer, I would have her look after my daughter without question. I couldn’t recommend her enough.

Eva

I worked with Isabelle in a Reception class setting. Isabelle has always been a warm and caring person who prioritises children’s wellbeing. She can read stories like no one else and has built trusting and respectful relationships with every child she has worked with. Isabelle has a unique superpower in being able to settle even the most anxious children. She always sees the best in every child and makes them feel valued and loved. As a qualified teacher, Isabelle has sound pedagogical knowledge that is clearly reflected in her interactions with children of all ages and the environment she has set up in her home. When Isabelle told me she was leaving teaching to childmind i had two thoughts. Firstly, I was sad to hear she would no longer be in the classroom and secondly, I knew that any parent that chose to work with Isabelle would be extremely lucky! I can’t think of anyone I would feel as confident leaving my child with as Isabelle.

I have known Isabelle since 2018 when I started working alongside her as a primary school teacher and I feel very fortunate to have done so. Isabelle’s energy and enthusiasm during our time in school together was infectious, I have the highest respect for her spirit and diligence. The efforts and attentions that Isabelle bestows upon the children in her care are far beyond that expected. She has a natural ability to recognise the individual needs of children and engages them in moving their development and learning forward. Her kind and encouraging manner, coupled with her fun personality, means children are confident to express themselves to her and she responds creatively to what they do or say. I am thrilled that Isabelle can continue to have a significant impact on the lives of children as a highly qualified and skilled childminder. She is greatly committed to her career alongside raising her young family. Her setting really is a home from home environment for the children with an abundance of well organised resources to play and learn with. Above all, she is professional in every way and passionate about providing the best care for children.
