Mimis Meadow tiney home nursery

Jamie looked after my two sons (ages 2 and 5 at the time) whilst on maternity leave and I can safely say they beg me to go back to her house on a weekly basis! Her house worked for our family as it was, for me, a home from home. Bright, welcoming, fun, and full of such innovative and creative day-care ideas for the children. The playroom alone caters for every child, from musical instruments, a chilled reading corner full of books, role play and dressing up, to toys ranging from dinosaurs to dolls houses. She had thought of it all. Jamie’s house is not only a stone’s throw away from the local primary school, but her home also backs onto a nature park where my boys did plenty of scavenger hunts and mud-pie making, there is a playground a few minutes away for sunnier days and there is also a horse riding stables literally next door to her home for them to visit and see the ponies! Jamie has a garden full of fun activities such as climbing frames, wendy houses, swings and toddler play equipment, it was literally a dream garden for my children in the warmer months. My sons adored Bullie the Dog and when he was allowed to come out to see the children, they couldn’t get enough of him. Admittedly, Bullie wasn’t great with joining in with the arts and crafts table, as he had a tendency to lick the paint! But my boys would always be ready to secretly exchange half a sandwich for a Bullie-cuddle in return, and Bullie was only ever happy to oblige (funnily enough!). Jamie herself is the most happy, chilled and fun person I came across when I was looking for childcare and I knew my children were not only in safe hands, but they were also always having so much fun with her. I truly cannot recommend Mimi’s Meadows Day Nursery enough.

As soon as I entered Jamie’s it felt familiar and a real sense of family; I knew my son would feel settled straight away. I feel like I had struck gold when I found Jamie as she really knows how to talk to the kids and my son has the best time, he has come on so much since joining. For him it’s like going to a play date each day and a bonus that she has a dog as he is obsessed with him, and has taught him kindness and responsibility too. I couldn’t recommend Mimi’s Meadow Day Nursery enough, she is superwoman, taking them on scavenger hunts to trips most days. I relax when I drop my son off and know he is in the best care!
