About my home

I love educating and have a masters in Teaching Science, alongside experience in tutoring. I provide high quality, home-based early childhood education and care. The small ratio of my setting allows me to form very close and loving bonds with each child. I aim to develop and maintain respectful and secure relationships with all children in my care as I believe creating a sense of belonging is essential for growth and development. Children at my nursery learn through experimentation and exploration whilst maintaining the comfort of a homely environment.

Teaching Experiences

I have a master's degree in Teaching Science and work experience tutoring and teaching science and maths.

Fostering a love of science

Research suggests that most children will develop either a positive or negative attitude towards science education by the age of 7. Therefore, during early years we can nurture and establish a positive approach to science education that will stay with them into the future. Children are natural explorers. By encouraging and directing their natural curiosity, and familiarising them with basic scientific vocabulary, I will help children begin to make sense of the world around them. I have many fun and creative experiments to do with the children including: sink or float?, will it dissolve?, magnet maze, how plants grow, crazy cornflour slime and more!
