A home from home setting that encourages learning through play and outdoor adventures.
Here at Wildflowers we have a large child friendly back garden with a mud kitchen, and a summerhouse that the children can enjoy as their outdoor learning classroom and playroom.
Wildflowers is a brand new intimate childminding setting with a small ratio of children, offering a highly personalised approach for each child.
I have worked in the childcare industry for over 12 years in variety of home and educational settings as a nanny, a teaching assistant and an early years practitioner. I have set up Wildflowers tiney home nursery to offer a more personalised approach that caters to each child’s needs. A smaller ratio for more 1-1 attention which enhances learning and enables the children to create lasting bonds with myself and the other children in my care.
We have a lovely big garden that has a mud kitchen and a vegetable patch for the children to enjoy.
A spacious summerhouse that has been purposely built with our Wildflowers in mind. This is their outdoor classroom and playroom with many exciting areas.
Our Wildflowers enjoy many outdoor adventures, days out and attend weekly classes such as story time at the local library and forest school!

Katie is the most caring, attentive , loving and creative childminder that I know. She is extremely organised and reliable. Katie thoroughly enjoys planning different activities to facilitate learning, she recognises the importance of outdoor play as a foundation for children’s healthy development and encourages different kinds of play. She has a big interest in developmental psychology and is always happy to share her knowledge on overcoming some challenges in different stages of development. She continues to build her knowledge by attending various courses and seminars and she is always up to date with the latest research findings in early childhood education. As a first time mum, I have very high expectations for my son’s childcare providers, however I have never had to question Katie’s abilities. She has been absolutely wonderful with my little boy, I could not recommend her enough!

I have known Katie for around two years now and I can confidently vouch for how amazingly Katie cares for children. I know Katie through the nanny world.
