What are others saying about Lanka's tiney home nursery?

Sharnna Jones

Lanka always provides the very best of experiences for the children in her care. She has a dependable, intuitive, honest, imperturbable and discreet character. She provides a safe, harmonious, fun environment for the children. Lanka is always composed, showing a genuine and keen interest in organising and planning activities. Our children were instantly drawn to her. Lanka applies her knowledge to create a rich, calm and stimulating environment for the children to thrive in. We consider Lanka to be a dependable, hardworking, caring, reliable and conscientious asset to any childcare provision and we consider ourselves unbelievably lucky to have found her! We originally met Lanka through our nursery where we were astonished to see she taught her group of two year olds to write their own names! The way she makes learning so fun and effortless is a gift, she is amazing!

Perlin Lewars

Lanka has produced a vast amount of fantastic activaties so that the children achieve far above their educational needs within the EYFS framework. For the toddlers, Lanka designed activaties that supported the children by teaching them to read and write their names, learn the alphabet by teaching phonics by picture cards that supported them to be able to sound letters. In relation to the toddlers improving their maths, Lanka designed activaties so that they were able to add and subtract numbers, count to 1 - 20 and above by linking the mathamatical ideas with the EYFS system, including teaching shapes and measuring during water play. Lanka has always encouraged the toddlers to developed their creaative skills by encouraging the children to write their own stories, be imaaginative through dressing up or develop their critical thinking in song or speaking. In relation to the pre-school children, they have and are still developing their skills from Lanka's practical teaching methods towards preparing the children for primary school level. Currently pre-school children have learned to tell and write times, they have become self confident by being able to express themselves in every way. Lanka has designed her skills well around the seven areas of the EYFS planning system. Lanka always plans, analyses and evaluates her activaties in order to allow each child reach their potential goal. In relation to keeping the children safe and their environment, Lanka always creates safe activities along with the EYFS framework. Lanka encourages equal opportunsties to all children whilst maintaining British values. In relation to my learning since working with Lanka, I have learned so much from her supervising me on a daily basis, by which she has taught me to write the planning for activaties, how to link my activaties to the EYFS system, how to write reports, develop my observational skills, take the lead on introducing an activaty to the class as well as participating and coworking with other staff members. Lanka as taught me and given me the opportunity to be able to run a classroom by myself.
