About my home

I am a passionate childcare professional who loves children, I consider it a real privilege to care for them and open my doors to support their unending learning. I have around 30 years experience working as a social worker and two as a nursery practitioner. I am very proud mother of three grown up children and the happiest grandmother of four grandchildren! My nature-centred tiney nursery provides children with plenty of resources to ensure they are guided by their interests and reach their full potential. My aim is for all achieve their potential and develop special interests and skills. I endeavour to ensure all children are happy and secure every single day in my tiney home nursery.

In addition to my safe and fun garden, we are very lucky to back onto the huge Harrow Lodge Park and playground and adjoining nature reserve.

Unique highlights

Bilingual Nursery

I speak English, Spanish and also know a bit of Portuguese and Italian

A nature-centred practice

My garden is a great natural area for children to play, explore, enjoy, grow and learn. We spend lots of time in the beautiful area surrounding my house - a huge park with a playground, nature reserve and riding school.

I love animals and nature and I have chickens that lay tasty fresh eggs. As the chickens are tame, the children are able to enjoy feeding them and gathering their eggs.

Khristine Alvarado

Parent name: Khristine Alvaro Child: Lily Alvaro Years: July 2016 - July 2017 Testimonial: Pily looked after my child at Eastbury Nursery in Barking from July 2016 - July 2017. During this time, I have found Pily to be a fantastic early years practitioner. She nurtured Lily's physical, emotional and mental wellbeing - as well as helped her to reach developmental milestones. I found that Lily developed a close bond with Pily and was extremely fond of her. Kind regards, Khristine Alvarado

Parent of Zakariyha Ismail

Parent of Z Ismail  I have known Pily since 2016 when my son joined Eastbury Nursery. He is my only child and I was very anxious and nervous about leaving my child with anyone. I was a bag of nerves!  My first meeting with Pily gave me confidence that my child was safe. Pily is an amazing, caring and a loving person. She made my son feel so welcomed and assured me so I felt at ease straight away. She has a lovely personality and I saw this immediately. I knew my son would be in good hands. I was informed on a daily basis how well he was doing and what he did during the day. My son was beginning to enjoy it more and more! He became confident and had a special bond with Pilly. She has a special place in our hearts, my son is now 6 years old and he still talks about Pily! I would highly recommend Pily. She is honest and trustworthy. I would have no hesitation to leave my child with her all day. She has a unique way to bond with each child and the children love her.  All the best Pily!  Warm regards,  Zahraa
