About this home

A unique offering of 1:2 care and the feel of a nanny share by an experienced primary and early years specialist. Situated in Walton-on-Thames, my warm and welcoming home will feel like an extension of family life for your little one where those all-important ‘firsts’ can be experienced in a loving and supportive setting. Every day will be full of irresistible learning opportunities as we venture out to explore Surrey’s green spaces, come rain or shine!

About our tiney childminder

I am an experienced early years specialist with a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology and ten years teaching experience, including my role as Assistant Head at Dulwich College Junior School. Having become a mum myself last year, I’ll be opening my own early years home from home setting in September with a real family feel and a place that your little one will love coming to each day. Providing 1:2 care, there will be one vacancy (or two part-time) for little ones aged between 1-2 years.

Unique highlights

1:2 Ratio of Care

A unique offering akin to a nanny share in a warm, family environment. My son, Theo, will be part of our nursery tribe and the uniquely low ratio provides the opportunity to create a sense of extended family and for strong bonds to be formed. My number one aim is to treat your little one like my own and to ensure they build the emotional resilience for lifelong happiness. I will get to know your child inside out and upside down - I will know what they've mastered and what they are just a few wobbly steps away from doing next... and will support them to get there, encouraging them in a safe and supportive space.

Primary and Early Years Specialist

As an experienced teacher and qualified childminder, I understand the vital role the early years play in children’s development and laying the foundations of a thirst for life-long learning. Every day we’ll be creating that magic spark, with play-based learning and activities planned specifically around development milestones, closely following the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Caring for just two children means that bespoke activities can be planned and tailored to support your child’s emerging needs and interests. From making shapes with rice in the sensory tray, weighing out ingredients for mud-pies in our mud kitchen to planting our own veg in the garden, every day will be filled with awe and wonder!

Home from Home Setting

My setting will feel like a home from home for your little one, in which they can explore, play and learn within a warm and friendly space. Caring for just two children will allow for flexibility and support to meet your child’s needs; mirroring the familiarity of their home routine to ensure top-quality snoozes. And as your little one gets older and nap schedules change, I will work with you to gently adjust their routine. My home has a large open-plan kitchen that leads through bi-fold doors into a secure spacious garden for messy outdoor play.
