Our Story

Between birth and age five we learn more, and more quickly, than at any other time in our lives. Great early education and care can have a life-changing impact on a child.

Brett Wigdortz OBE formed tiney after 15 years leading Teach First, an educational charity that has worked with over a million children. As a parent of three kids, he saw first-hand how challenging finding good childcare could be. Waiting lists, minimum-day contracts, endless researching, and calling in favours from family and friends. It was expensive, inflexible and hard work.

He realised that childcare wasn't working for many childcare professionals either. Great childcare change children's lives. But he found that they were undervalued, underfunded, and undersupported.

He decided to do something about it. Together with experienced early years educators, nationally distinguished safeguarding leads and digital tech experts, he created tiney.

tiney is a brand new childcare choice for parents. It combines the educational benefits of home-based, family style settings with the convenience and customer service of larger nurseries.
