Our Mission

At tiney we believe that a great early education can be life changing. Our mission is to make the highest quality childcare accessible to more families, and to empower a generation of micro-entrepreneurs to deliver amazing care from their own homes.

We’re a fast growing and talented team with diverse experiences, backgrounds and skills.

Our ambition is big. We want to transform the childcare industry and need people with the mindset, skills and appetite to help us do it.

Working at tiney.

As well as a rewarding mission and a brilliant team, we want to make sure you can do the best work of your life here so we work hard to offer benefits that will do just that.

Compensation and options

We use a salary structure and benchmarking process to ensure that pay is fair and competitive. All team members are eligible for our options scheme.

Flexible working to fit your schedule

We trust you to find a work rhythm that allows you and your team to do your best work. Many individuals structure their work around family time or other commitments.

Remote working benefits

We want to make sure we're providing the same people experience to everyone, regardless of your location. We're currently testing a fully distributed team with the option to access hundreds of coworking spaces around the world and regular in person days with the whole team.

Regular team offsites and socials

We value time together and make sure this happens regularly with quarterly team trips, fully remote socials for everyone and adhoc get togethers in smaller groups.

Sickness, life cover and mental health support

We have company wide life insurance and offer a range of mental health support to make sure that you can look after yourself, and we can look after you.

Family policies with children at the core

We have a forward-thinking approach to support employees and their families. Our parental leave and caregiver policies have been written with the needs of employees and their children at the core.

Building a b-corp

tiney is a pre-registered b-corp, meaning we’re commited to building a business that is a force for good. b-corp status gives us a north star for the type of business we want to grow in to, and places us alongside a global movement of other companies already working to benefit society.

We believe that high quality Early Years Education is one of the most high impact ways to positively change society. At tiney we’re super-charging that pathway, not only by impacting children, but by enabling a new generation of amazing educators to choose childcare as their career.

Be part of the future of childcare.

Brett's Story

Our CEO Brett formed tiney after 15 years leading Teach First, a charity that has worked with over a million children. He realised more support was needed for children from an even earlier age. He created tiney to help make that difference.

We’ve been fortunate to build an outstanding team at tiney so far; adding people who’ve done amazing things at other tech startups and in the world of education. As founders who’ve all built successful companies in the past we’re excited to do it again and see our vision come to life.

- ,

We've worked hard to develop a set of shared beliefs that unite our team.

We believe that

Every day we can earn trust.

At tiney, nothing matters more than trust. Every day families entrust their children to us and every day we have the opportunity to reinforce that trust through our decisions and actions.

We believe that

Rest is rocket fuel.

We believe that we’re at our best when we make time to rest. When we’re rested we not only make better choices in our work, but are also choosing to prioritise our own self care as individuals.

We believe that

Play is a superpower.

Young children learn best when they play - we believe that often applies to adults, as well. As adults we can dismiss the value of play and in doing so, miss its crucial role in creativity, problem solving and building relationships.

We believe that

Curious minds see more.

We believe that curious people help us make better choices. When we’re curious as a team we learn more, navigate uncertain times with more confidence and avoid blindspots.

We believe that

Asking for help shows wisdom, not weakness.

We believe that the smartest people amongst us are those that know the value of asking for the help of others. When we ask for help we not only show an awareness of our own limitations, but also show others that we value them.

We believe that

You grow stronger after a fall.

As a child, the only way we learn is through trial and repetition. Falling down is not a sign of failure, but a natural part of learning and growing.
