At tiney we believe that a great early education can be life changing. Our mission is to make the highest quality childcare accessible to more families, and to empower a generation of micro-entrepreneurs to deliver amazing care from their own homes.

We offer 28 days annual leave, with an additional 'First Month Reflection Day' because starting a new role is a big life change and you don't tend to want to request holiday early on. At tiney, we encourage 'defaulting to transparency' in everything we do and so this really helps people switch off and refuel.

Play is a superpower

We all get together in person every quarter to relax, socialise and reset - last time we did ukulele playing and white water rafting! Every month we have remote socials to bring the team together, we've done everything from drawing workshops, laughter yoga and magic lessons. When you join us, you'll also get a treasure hunt to complete to find your welcome treasure!

Asking for help shows wisdom not weakness

Mental health is the same as physical illness. We want to create an environment where people feel empowered to talk about it. We offer everyone annual subscriptions to Headspace, discounts to Calm, training for mental health first aiders and access to counselling.

People policies with children at the core

We have a forward-thinking approach to supporting employees and their families. We offer £5,000 of childcare through a tiney childminder for parents returning to work and with our flexible working policy, individuals structure their work around their family time. We also have company wide life insurance, sickness cover and contribute 3% towards your pension but we don't see this as a 'benefit'.

Compensation and options

We offer every full time member EMI Options so that you own a part of tiney. For your salary, we will always post this on our job roles so that you don't need to negotiate. We have also built our own feedback system where you will have three monthly feedback conversations with your manager to make sure you're growing at tiney.

Remote first benefits

We want to make sure we're providing the same people experience to everyone, regardless of your location. We give everyone access to coworking spaces near your home and you'll receive up to £2,000 worth of equipment when you start to make sure you have all the tools you need to do the best work of your life.

Building a b-corp

tiney is a pre-registered b-corp, meaning we’re commited to building a business that is a force for good. b-corp status gives us a north star for the type of business we want to grow in to, and places us alongside a global movement of other companies already working to benefit society.

Brett's Story

Our CEO Brett formed tiney after 15 years leading Teach First, a charity that has worked with over a million children. He realised more support was needed for children from an even earlier age. He created tiney to help make that difference.

We’ve been fortunate to build an outstanding team at tiney so far; adding people who’ve done amazing things at other tech startups and in the world of education. As founders who’ve all built successful companies in the past we’re excited to do it again and see our vision come to life.
