About tiney
tiney is building a better childcare system. We help passionate, talented people open their own childminding businesses from home—giving families more access to quality, affordable care in their local community. Central to tiney experience is an app which childminders use to run their business, including education tools, payments, contracts, messaging and much more. Backed by top investors and built by a team of educators and technologists, we’re on a mission to unlock the potential of every child.
The role
We’re hiring our first dedicated data analyst to help build a data-informed culture at tiney. You’ll work closely with the CTO, COO, CFO. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full data stack: from building robust models and dashboards to partnering with stakeholders on open-ended questions and experiments. If you’re a commercially-minded, technically capable data generalist who loves solving real-world problems and shaping how a company uses data—you’ll thrive here.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain our core reporting infrastructure Develop and improve Dataform models in BigQuery, support our Stitch and Census pipelines, and maintain our Metabase dashboards.
Enable every team to track their KPIs Work with stakeholders across the business to define and maintain meaningful, reliable, regularly updated dashboards and reports.
Lead analysis on key product and business questions Run deep dives into customer behaviour, product usage, operational trends, and more—sharing clear, actionable insights.
Support experimentation and OKR tracking Help teams design and evaluate A/B tests, cohort analyses, and product experiments, and ensure our OKRs are grounded in meaningful data.
Drive a culture of data literacy and self-serve access Run data office hours, coach teams on using dashboards and interpreting data, and build tools that help everyone at tiney make informed decisions.
