About my home

I aim for children to thrive and feel valued, offering one-to-one attention in a calm, kind, nurturing, fun setting where everyone is listened to. I have a degree in English and my background is in the arts. I’m passionate about language, reading, singing, food, travel, animals and nature. I’ve worked in a playgroup and a nursery with key children, and enjoy supporting parents and building strong relationships with families. I’m a proud mum to two teenage sons and we have a dog and two rabbits.

Unique highlights

Beautiful home setting

I have a dedicated playroom and a large, open-plan kitchen that leads into a big hallway for wet day indoor play and a large, secure garden for outdoor play. Our house was recently fully refurbished and is bright, cheerful and very spacious.

So much to do!

The Hampton Court area is rich in history and nature. The Palace is walking distance from Ali’s tiney home nursery, and features many exciting things for children to explore. Our home is based by the river and meadowlands with playgrounds, cafes, wildlife and dog-free areas for picnics. Bushy Park and Home Park are both close to us for deer watching and nature trails. The local community is very family-friendly and the pet shop with its tropical fish and our fruit and vegetable shop with lots of snack choices are great for children to visit.

Nutritious food and happy mealtimes

As a mum of two teenage sons, our fridge and pantry always need to be full! We are real foodies in our family and cook lots of healthy, tasty meals. Sitting together to enjoy food and chatting are important parts of the nursery day, to keep those tummies full and energy levels up to keep on playing!

A love of books and reading

As an English graduate, I am an avid reader and have a big collection of children’s books that is always growing. I love reading with children and seeing a child absorbed in a story. I also love working together to create stories and funny rhymes and songs.

A mix of approaches

At Ali’s tiney home nursery there is a real mixture of activities, resources and approaches. I believe that every child learns differently and should be encouraged and feel confident to explore and express their unique interests. We have animal toys, natural materials, real-world items, loose parts play, cars, construction blocks, arts and crafts, a cosy home corner, junk modelling, dressing-up clothes, a fun bus tent, imaginative tuff trays, all sorts of mark-making opportunities, gardening, mud play, messy play and so much more. Learning about different languages, cultures, religions, festivals and food is also an important part of what we do.

A highlight at our home nursery is the rabbit hutch in our garden, housing our two fluffy bunnies, Fudge and Smokey. They are always happy to say hello and love being given leaves, grass and dandelions by anyone who comes to visit! On special occasions they even let us stroke them. Our pet dog Rosie is very friendly and is around to say hello in the mornings and evenings when she’s not playing with her friends in a field at daycare.

Kindness is key

At Ali’s tiney home nursery, kindness and respect for others are two key components of the day. When children feel warmly welcomed and cared for, playing and learning develop and positive relationships grow.

Through our partnerships with Walker Books and the National Literacy Trust, our childminders run creative activities around a wonderfully diverse range of books.

What are others saying about Ali’s tiney home nursery?

Aleyda Marroquin

We are very lucky to have Ali as a neighbour who often looks after our two boys, Fred (3) and Thomas (15 months). My children are mesmerised by the activities she has to offer and her two little bunnies, Smokey and Fudge, are an absolute hit. Ali has an incredibly warm, caring personality and is very attentive to the boys, getting involved in the activities and ensuring that they are developing their skills while having a lot of fun. I couldn’t be more comfortable leaving my children with Ali, I am sure any child left in her care will flourish and be very well looked after in her wonderful setting.

I can’t recommend Ali and her setting enough. My son has been content, happy, nurtured, and loved like one of her own children. Ali organises many fun and educational activities for the kids and keeps them super busy all day. Her meals are nutritious and plentiful and my son always leaves an empty plate. Ali really is such a delight. She’s compassionate, friendly, caring and has great communication skills. I can only praise how wonderful she is and if you’re looking for childcare she is your lady!

We started using Ali for our son when he struggled to settle at nursery, as we wanted a more personal and supportive approach to childcare. Well what can I say, Ali has been so much more than that to us! Our son has not only thrived in Ali's setting, but he loves going and gets to do so many fun and exciting activities that spark his interest and creativity! It's brought out sides of him we didn't know existed and we're so delighted so see this exploration unfold and look forward to seeing where it will keep going as he grows!! Ali is 100% suited to working with children, I feel as if this is her calling in life, it's not just a job to her. You can really sense the enjoyment she gets from watching the children learn, grow and have fun in her setting, considering their individual needs and always taking the time to communicate everything to us in a way that makes us know our son is being so well cared for. She has a beautiful home filled with a wide range of toys and activities that she loves to get the children involved in, including arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, role play and pets (our son loves the rabbits and Rosie the dog), to name just a few. We really couldn't ask for more and would highly recommend Ali to anyone thinking of sending their child here. Thank you Ali, for all that you do
