I aim for children to thrive and feel valued, offering one-to-one attention in a calm, kind, nurturing, fun setting where everyone is listened to. I have a degree in English and my background is in the arts. I’m passionate about language, reading, singing, food, travel, animals and nature. I’ve worked in a playgroup and a nursery with key children, and enjoy supporting parents and building strong relationships with families. I’m a proud mum to two teenage sons and we have a dog and two rabbits.
Unique highlights
Beautiful home setting
I have a dedicated playroom and a large, open-plan kitchen that leads into a big hallway for wet day indoor play and a large, secure garden for outdoor play. Our house was recently fully refurbished and is bright, cheerful and very spacious.
So much to do!
The Hampton Court area is rich in history and nature. The Palace is walking distance from Ali’s tiney home nursery, and features many exciting things for children to explore. Our home is based by the river and meadowlands with playgrounds, cafes, wildlife and dog-free areas for picnics. Bushy Park and Home Park are both close to us for deer watching and nature trails. The local community is very family-friendly and the pet shop with its tropical fish and our fruit and vegetable shop with lots of snack choices
are great for children to visit.
Nutritious food and happy mealtimes
As a mum of two teenage sons, our fridge and pantry always need to be full! We are real foodies in our family and cook lots of healthy, tasty meals. Sitting together to enjoy food and chatting are important parts of the nursery day, to keep those tummies full and energy levels up to keep on playing!
A love of books and reading
As an English graduate, I am an avid reader and have a big collection of children’s books that is always growing. I love reading with children and seeing a child absorbed in a story. I also love working together to create stories and funny rhymes and songs.
A mix of approaches
At Ali’s tiney home nursery there is a real mixture of activities, resources and approaches. I believe that every child learns differently and should be encouraged and feel confident to explore and express their unique interests. We have animal toys, natural materials, real-world items, loose parts play,
cars, construction blocks, arts and crafts, a cosy home corner, junk modelling, dressing-up clothes, a fun bus tent, imaginative tuff trays, all sorts of mark-making opportunities, gardening, mud play, messy play and so much more. Learning about different languages, cultures, religions,
festivals and food is also an important part of what we do.
Pets
A highlight at our home nursery is the rabbit hutch in our garden, housing our two fluffy bunnies, Fudge and Smokey. They are always happy to say hello and love being given leaves, grass and dandelions by anyone who comes to visit! On special occasions they even let us stroke them. Our pet dog Rosie is very friendly and is around to say hello in the mornings and evenings when she’s not playing with her friends in a field at daycare.
Kindness is key
At Ali’s tiney home nursery, kindness and respect for others are two key components of the day. When children feel warmly welcomed and cared for, playing and learning develop and positive relationships grow.

Sharing books is at the heart of all tiney home nurseries – it’s fantastic for children’s imaginations, for building vocabulary, for speaking and listening, for personal, social and emotional development, and so much more. Through our partnerships with Walker Books and the National Literacy Trust, our childminders run creative activities around a wonderfully diverse range of books.

I am very close to the River Thames and many green open meadowlands, meaning that children are able to get lots of fresh air and time exploring in nature.
Hampton Court Palace is a cultural gem right near our house. Hampton Court Village is full of cafes and interesting shops to visit.
