A tiney home from home by the sea with with a lovely playroom and garden for children to explore and learn in. As a former Early Years teacher, with 20+ years experience, I have a fully embedded knowledge of Early Years Foundation stage. Child centred learning through play is central to my ethos. We are in a lovely area a short walk from the beach and in easy reach of both Walton on the Naze and Frinton on Sea. We are 5 minutes from our local school.

About our tiney childminder
I believe in the power of play and my tiney home reflects this, with a variety of open ended resources to facilitate the children’s choices. We have lots of sensory and imaginative play, with small world and construction for our world builders. We use stories and art for inspiration and know the value of calm, quiet time to balance. We have lots of places to visit, from the beach to the park and our local shop. But most of all, I want all children in our home to feel valued and cared for.

I taught in the Early Years for many years and have taught all aspects of the curriculum, from Literacy, Phonics and Maths to Understanding the World, with a focus on real experiences and learning through play.

I was the ICT Coordinator at my last school and have lots of knowledge of enriching resources to link with the children’s learning, from apps to practical activities.
