About our tiney childminder
I offer an inclusive, caring and safe environment for children to explore and learn according to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). I use inspiration from the Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches to create an environment that supports freedom of movement, creativity, mindfulness and curious minds. I have 17years experience working within early years mainly as a Teacher and a nursery manager.
Unique highlights
Little Chef
Our weekly cook club allows children to get involved with their own food preparation. We love squeezing our our own oranges to make juice, squashing bananas for cake, washing and cutting lettuce. Children explore using lots of kitchen utensils and equipment safely. It also encourages healthy attitudes towards foods, as we explore how various foods affects our health and bodies.
Book Club
We love reading here. This starts from babies where we point to pictures and make sounds, sing rhymes and songs. Older children grow from pointing to pictures to talking about what's going on in stories, showing curiosity and interest. As this develops so will their interest in letters and sounds. These are all steps of early phonics and set the foundation towards learning to read. Reading bag - every week your child gets a reading bag to take home with Special tips to help your child learn to read. Even the babies get one!
Mini Park Garden
Full of nature, there is so much to explore within my mini park garden. Lucky enough to have a large grassed area for all ages to explore. There is always a range of activities to explore. We have sand, water, mud kitchen exploration aswell as slides, ball games, climbing and loose parts play.
