About my home

My tiney home nursery has been set up to encourage adventure, creativity and diversity as well as including elements of my Italian background. I have a good level of English and I am fluent in Italian. My tiney home nursery offers various activities and educational experiences in accordance with EYFS. These will include children building skills around maths, literacy, arts and crafts and role play.

Unique highlights

Working experience and qualifications

5 years experience working as a nursery practitioner. Cache level 2 in childcare qualified, first aid paediatric course trained, food and hygiene trained with strong knowledge in Safeguarding.

Providing healthy meals

My passion is teaching children how to eat healthier and how to prepare a variety of nutritional dishes. Involving children in cooking activities and sharing knowledge about the importance of eating healthier is the key to a child’s development and growth

Daily and pre-planned trips

I love taking children out for outdoor activities and I believe that children can learn more from the outside world rather than being indoors. Daily trips to parks are guaranteed as well as many other planned trips. My aim is helping the children to build up their confidence through outdoor activities.

Flexibility in meeting parents needs and expectations

Incorporate activities based on the Montessori philosophy

The Montessori Philosophy is based on encouraging self-confidence and independence through activities that involve problem solving while developing social and intellectual growth. Activities I will be carrying out are based on using different tools such as using threading toys, painting and a variety of sensory activities

Exploring different cultures

I have an Italian background and my daughter is half Italian and half British-Nigerian. I have a good level of English and Italian which can allow for the teaching of simple Italian words using flash cards to be done within my setting. My top priority within tiney home nursery is to ensure diversity. This involves celebrating various beautiful cultures through different activities.

Preparing children for school and for any other possible transition.

Pick up service only

I hold a clean drivers license. And I am only able to collect children from close proximity. Further discussion to be had regarding the above

I am located 5 minutes walk away from Stockwood Park which provides plenty of outdoor exposure.

Within the park there is a discovery centre, playground area and picnic area. The discovery centre helps explore the various wildlife visible in the park as well as portraying various elements that defines the history of the park, all for a small entry fee. Woodside petting farm is only a 10 minute drive away which allows children to experience life on a farm as well as engaging with many farm animals.
