My tiney home nursery has a separate playroom set up to provide fun, exciting days full of adventure. Children enjoy engaging with a good mix of free play, cooking, music time, construction, small world activities as well as creative, messy play fun. The playroom has it’s own private en-suite bathroom and adjoining safe enclosed outdoor play area. Our home is situated next to a beautiful nature reserve, with ample various walks for us to explore and enjoy fresh air and exercise daily.

About our tiney childminder
I really enjoy reading to children every day, whether it’s a classic story or a new title I love to bring the story to life, using puppets or props when I can. As a mother to three grown up children I know the importance of nutritious, healthy cooked meals, I like to involve the children as much as possible to engage with menu choices and preparing varied healthy snacks. We like to socialise so meeting our friends at toddler group or a local park is lots of fun.

Until recently I worked full time for 14 years in a SEN school, including teaching emotional management sessions, dyslexia screening and intervention lessons as well as working in the classrooms,
Messy play
My messy tray is used every day, whether it’s being used for painting, sand, water play or as a texture tray, junk modelling with glue and paint, sometimes we fill it with treasures found in the woods nothing is ruled out!
Emotional needs
It is my passion to treat all children with value, respect and to promote their self esteem and confidence by knowing how they feel and offering comfort and support at all times, helping the children to feel secure and appreciated is essential. Having taught emotional management for many years in school I know the importance of discussing with children knowing how they and others are feeling, helping each other and showing kindness when we can.

I live beside The Deadwater valley nature reserve, this is a protected environment full of wildlife and natural beauty an ideal rich learning resource to learn about animals, habitats seasons, weather etc. while enjoying fresh air and exercise daily. We will attend our local toddler group to meet friends play and join in with their various days out including visits to local country parks.
