About this home

Welcome to my happy tiney home offering childcare to children 0-8 years. I am an experienced, qualified teacher who is passionate about the early years. I am based in Shirley with good transport links and within walking distance to local parks and the library. I am able to offer school drop off and collection from streetsbrook school and Sharmans cross school. Please get in touch to find out more about my tiney home.

About our tiney childminder

I have worked with children for over twenty years. I am a qualified teacher, and mum to three boys. I have a real passion for early years and I enjoy planning for individual children based on their interests and next steps, making learning personalised and fun. I have a well stocked playroom, and a lovely outdoor space for the children to explore. I also have lots of SEN experience and am familiar with a range of strategies for children who sometimes need a different approach to learning.

Qualified teacher

I have over twenty years experience of working in schools with children aged 3-11, although I have mainly taught in the foundation stage. My degree included primary English and I am passionate about early literacy and developing a love of reading in children. My tiney home has LOTS of lovely books to share!

Pets

I have a great collection of pets who love to be around the children! Bertie, our cocker spaniel is always happy to see you and loves a cuddle. Bella and Rosie are the resident cats, they love it when you feed them treats! Finally, Timmy is our very old tortoise who likes to explore the garden with the children. Having pets in our home helps to encourage the children to take care for animals, whilst also supporting the children emotionally when only a furry friend cuddle will do.

Playroom

I have a lovely, well stocked playroom for the children to explore. The room is calm and homely, with access to a range of toys and interactive displays to inspire the children in my care.

I am based near to the Stratford Road, within walking distance of the local library and many church playgroups. I am also a short, five minute walk from a local park and play area. Streetsbrook school and Sharmans cross school are nearby and I can support with school pick ups and drop offs to these local schools.
