About me 🌈 I am a mature mom of three beautiful adult children and have an adorable and energetic three year old granddaughter. My background is in education and health care where I have supported individuals with special education needs and disabilities. My Happy Place home nursery is a homely and safe setting where children can be themselves and develop their interests and abilities within a fun, supportive and happy environment.

I have a BA Degree in Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND). My knowledge allows me to foster an inclusive environment where all children, regardless of their abilities, feel accepted and valued. I will promote diversity, equity, and inclusion by creating an inclusive curriculum, implementing strategies to promote positive social interactions among children of different abilities, and modeling inclusive practices. This can help develop empathy, acceptance, and tolerance among the children in my care, which are valuable life skills that promote a compassionate and inclusive society.

At Happy Place, we offer a variety of tasty and nutritious home cooked meals and healthy snacks to allow the child to enjoy familiar tastes or experience new ones, so they develop healthy eating habits.
Sensory Play 🌍
At Happy Place we encourage sensory play which allows the child to experience playing with a variety of textures such as coloured rice, spaghetti, lentils, foam and beans, to develop an understanding of the world around them, while having fun in a safe and supportive environment.
