A warm and welcoming setting which comes with a generous amount of indoor and outdoor play space. Healthy meals are provided on a daily basis. We grow what we eat and eat what we grow at the allotments. A calm sleeping area is available for use when needed. We have weekly outings to the local park, library and allotment and provide lots of exciting planned and child initiated activities for both indoor and outdoor. We will also be doing lots of cooking and baking with the children.

About our tiney childminder
I have over 20 years experience of working with children and I've worked in a variety of settings in a variety of roles. (State school, private school, private day nursery and church children's department.) Over the years I have worked as an assistant, room lead, supervisor, department lead and a manager/ teacher within the early years. I have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. My passion is children. I do enjoy working with them to make a difference in their lives, which enables them to achieve.

In this neighbourhood
My neighbourhood is very quiet and is local to a few playgrounds, clipstone library, clipstone allotments, vicar water park. It's 5 to 8 minutes drive to Go Ape, Sheerwood pines and 5 to 10 minutes from Sheerwood forest. There's also a small local co op supermarket. I have lived here for nearly 3 years now and really enjoy the wonderful fresh air, quietness and friendly neighbours.

I'm extremely happy with the care that my daughter has received whilst in Nichell's care. Nichell's home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and my daughter has great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Beyond all this though, it is Nichell’s warm and friendly yet professional approach that we really like. She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. I know my girl has recently enjoyed sand and water play, drawing and sticking, reading and puzzles as well as outings to the park, trips to feed the ducks and walks in the woods nearby. She even made a crown for Coronation day and also brings home beautiful artwork. Nichell is a great communicator and has no trouble in gaining my daughter's confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are important to us at home. Nichell also completes a diary detailing what my daughter has done each day. From this I have a complete picture of her whole day including what she has eaten, and all her activities. This helps me to feel involved with her care and that I can talk to her about her day. All in all I am thoroughly happy with the level of care my daughter receives and I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping her develop into a confident and self assured little girl.
