My home nursery is set up to provide all kinds of fun, playful learning experiences and we have access to a wide range of activities locally, like the two parks at either end of the street, supermarkets, library, leisure centre and groups to join in with. About my home

My family, especially my 6 year old daughter, are excited to welcome children and their families to our home. My home nursery covers all aspects of learning, and I love creating activities, like small world trays, puppets shows and outdoor fun, that enable children to learn and develop. Raising my daughter has been my main experience with children. She has grown from a baby to a happy, confident child, and my aim is to help all children in my care to achieve this.

Unique highlights

Daily Art and Design activities

I studied fine art and love sharing this passion with the children. Children often have a new artwork to take home at the end of the day!

My Home Set-up

I have a designated playroom with library and soft reading area, a role play zone and large garden with 2 floor playhouse. And don’t forget the sensory turtle! Messy activities take place in the kitchen and the lounge has construction toys and a puppet theatre that turns into a cosy napping place.

Two friendly cats

I have two friendly pet cats who have grown up with my daughter. Learning to care for pets is a great way to help children become responsible and empathetic to the needs of others.

Healthy Meals

I follow a low salt and sugar diet and enjoy trying new recipes using good ingredients.

School Drop Offs and Collections.

I walk my daughter daily to The Gatton’s infant school and can offer a drop off and collections service.

Ready for School

My previous career was in management and training and I have helped many progress in their jobs. I have also been through the process of starting school with my daughter and understand what the children need to be school ready. I can help with hand strength, numbers and phonics.

Sharing books is at the heart of all tiney home nurseries – it’s fantastic for children’s imaginations, for building vocabulary, for speaking and listening, for personal, social and emotional development, and so much more. Through our partnerships with Walker Books and the National Literacy Trust, our childminders run creative activities around a wonderfully diverse range of books.

My house is at the top end of West Street, near London Rd.

We are within walking distance of Burgess Hill town centre, the library and the train station for trips to Brighton or Hayward’s Heath. There is a town bus stop a few doors from my house. St. John’s Wood Park and Fairfield Recreation Ground are at either end of the road for outdoor fun and lots of bear hunts. Twice a day we will be at Gattons infant school, and I am able to do before and after school care, drop offs and collections.
