About our tiney childminder
I’m Sinéad, a Mother of two children, 8 and 11 months. I live in BS5, Bristol and I have been here for 9 years. I am a part-time teacher. My favourite subject is textiles and I love doing creative work, cooking and being outdoors. I am very passionate about working within education and have been doing it for over 6 years. Since having my own children, early years development has been a big interest of mine and it has been fascinating to watch.
Unique highlights
Bristol Life
We live near St George’s Park and Netham Fields, I will incorporate many trips here. I have a full driving licence and will take the children on trips further a field. These will be linked to our learning but we will visit nearby farms, The Wild Place Project, The M-shed and The Bristol Museum. Where there are opportunities, we will try to go to arts and cultural events around the city.
Teddy The Family Pet
We have a 21month old whippet, Teddy. He is gentle, friendly and very comfortable around babies and children. He is on the large side so will be introduced to your child at their desired pace. If you have a family pet, you will know what a comfort it can be to have a furry companion. If you don’t have pets then it could be a great opportunity for your child to learn about animals and how to take care of them.
Teaching Creativity
I am a design and technology teacher who loves nothing more than getting creative and playing with new ideas. Task that develop skills like teamwork, imagination and problem solving is always so fun with little ones and it helps them feel valued and connected. I will incorporate loads of art and design activities into my setting.

In this neighbourhood
We will get out a lot and we have a rich community and local attractions to keep us busy. The park which I have mentioned before is fantastic, a lake full with hungry ducks, good playground facilities and picnic benches for when we want to have lunch outside. We are a short walk to the library which does bounce and rhyme and story time a few times a week. If we want to go a little further, Nightingale Valley is an excellent forest adventure for little ones to explore. On the days when we need to be indoors we are 15 minutes from the soft play or play-cafe.
