Hi, my name Kamilah (Mimi). I'm a Mother, British Private Nanny, Early Years Educator and an Ofsted approved Childminder.
With over 15 years of childcare experience specialising in children age 0-5 years, Mimi’s Montessori will soon open its doors in September 2022.
Our home has a fully equipped playroom with hand picked learning resources for the children in my care. We also support educational teachings from Reggio Emilia and The Curiosity Approach!
Our Monti’s will take part in daily extra-curricular activities such as Yoga & Exercise, Forest/Outdoor/Farm School, Arts & Crafts, Musical Play, Montessori Life Skills & Cooking. We have partnered up with our local farm where Forest & Farm school will take place.
Nutritious food creates a solid foundation for every child’s learning, development, and well-being. Our menus have been inspired by expert child nutritionist Annabel Karmel to ensure that each one of our nursery meals meets the nutritional and dietary needs of our Monti’s. We provide - breakfast, morning Snack, lunch grazing platter, afternoon Snack, hot dinner (tea time). Fresh filtered water provided throughout the day, as well as cow & oat milk.
Naps can help improve your child’s mood. Getting enough sleep during the day and at night helps children’s brains grow and develop. Our Monti’s each have their very own bed & bedding. A home comforter is welcome for nap times. Our sleep space offers darkness, calmness & safeness.
