About our tiney childminder
My tiney home is set up over the ground floor with a main table for arts and crafts and messy play. My main room is where other activities will take place. A reading space with plenty of books to choose from. Outdoor secure garden with sand play, tuff tray, mud kitchen and ball games. I have 3 school aged children and will be offering term time only placements with drop off and collections at Montgomery Schools. Please contact me to discuss hours and days further.

I currently work in a local nursery as an Early Years Practitioner. I love the job I do and have been in the role for over 8 years. I have experience of working with all age groups and children with SEND.
SEND experience.
I have over the years worked with many children with SEND on a 1-2-1 basis as well as within a group. This has helped me to understand and use different approaches on how to help and work with children who may struggle to adapt to changes, need continuous routines as part of their day, need support with communication and understanding. I take a step back and try to see what is trying to be communicated to me through different behaviours and emotions that are being displayed.
Supporting learning.
I support children's learning through both taking the lead as well as being led by ideas the children themselves have. This allows further investigation into subjects of interest and a focus topic, which encourages children to discuss this further with parents and siblings at the end of the day. This in turn allows continuous extending of learning in lots of different areas and gives children the confidence to try new things and expand their own areas of learning and interests.
