I've set up my home to be an inclusive and welcoming environment for children, using an open plan space there are zoned areas for play as well as an enclosed garden which will be used for daily outdoor play.
I am also caring for my own daughter so children will always have a play mate when staying at my tiney home. I provide home cooked meals, offering a weekly menu and breakfast choices.
I have over 5 years experience as a class teacher, as well as a Bachelor's Degree, PGCE and QTS.
I've worked in primary schools for over 5 years. Having taught Yr2-Yr5 as a class teacher, I will naturally have a lesson plan and multiple resources and achievable outcomes for children in my setting. I have many behavioural management techniques that I can apply in my setting as well.
I have my own daughter in my setting, so you'll be confident that my home is always child friendly and provides multiple resources and stimulus to engage children in my home. My daughter will also be a play mate for your child so they will never be on their own without another child to play with and learn alongside.
There are two cats that live in my home, providing children with exposure to pets and how to interact with them.

I am within a short walking distance to Highwoods Country Park, this will be a regular outing. I will be able to drive to Colchester Zoo for weekly/monthly visits with the children in my care, further enhancing their curiosity of the animals on our planet. I hope to visit Go Bananas as a soft play experience which is also within walking distance from my home.
I live in the catchment area of both Queen Boudica and Myland Primary School, I am able to provide after school care if needed - allowing siblings to join their younger family members in my setting.
